Synopsis
(Opis):
| The Pianist is the story of Polish
Jew Wladyslaw Szpilman (Adrien Brody), a celebrated composer and brillian
pianist, who witnessed the brutal Nazi occupation of his beloved city of
Warsaw, the creation of Warsaw Jewish Ghetto and the deportation of his
entire family to the Nazi labour camps. Surrouned by the madness
and horror of war-torn Europe, Szpilman finds safety in the generosity
and kindess of Polish strangers in a story of the true power of humanity...

Obraz jest ekranizacją
wspomnień z czasów wojny polskiego kompozytora i pianisty żydowskiego pochodzenia,
Władysława Szpilmana (w tej roli Adrien Brody - "Cienka czerwona linia",
"Mordercze lato").
Szpilman trafił w czasie wojny
do warszawskiego getta, gdzie pracował m.in. jako pianista w kawiarni Sztuka.
Cudem uniknął deportacji z getta do obozu zagłady, los ten nie ominął jednak
jego najbliższych. Ostatecznie Szpilman wydostał się z getta i po powstaniu
warszawskim ukrywał się w ruinach wyludnionego miasta. Z pomocą przyszedł
mu m.in. zauroczony jego talentem muzycznym niemiecki oficer, kapitan Wilm
Hosenfeld.
Film sięgnał po najwyższe wyróżnienia
na świecie, łącznie ze Złotą Palmą w Cannes 2002 i Academy Awards 2003
w USA..... |
